Located near a beautiful palm-fringed beach 20 km north of Cairns International
Airport, the Novotel Resort is only a short boat trip to
the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural
wonders of the world,
and within easy reach of the
Atherton Tablelands, a
dense mosaic of unique plant and animal habitats, rainforests, rivers, lakes and waterfalls,
and of the
Daintree Forest, the second largest virgin tract of rainforest after the Amazon
rainforest in South America (and older than it).

The weather should be warm: the average daily maximum temperature in May is
27.5 C, and the average minimum is 19.9 C.
Among international airlines which fly into Cairns are Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific,
Garuda, Malaysian Airlines, Qantas and Singapore Airlines.
Most international airlines fly into Sydney or Brisbane, from
where several flights each day go to Cairns.
