AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT

A 35 mm slide projector and overhead projector will be provided in the lecture room.

A Toshiba TLP-671 data projector will be available to show animations and movies. The input to the projector can be SXGA (1280x1024 compressed), XGA (1024x768 real) or SVGA (800x600).

A Pentium II 300 MHz notebook computer, running Windows 2000 Pro, and with 144 Mb RAM, will also be available. Software on this machine will include Powerpoint, Quicktime, Tecplot 8 and Windows Media Player.

Authors are asked to contact Professor Eddie Leonardi if any other software or hardware is needed.

Authors are strongly encouraged to bring their animations and movies on a CD, which can then be played from the notebook provided. This will simplify the presentation and avoid having to connect and disconnect different notebooks.

To avoid possible problems at the presentation stage, we suggest that you burn the CD and then try playing the animations or movies on a different computer which is not connected to your network, to ensure that the CD is self-contained.
